Therapy is not one-size-fits-all.
Some people benefit from practical strategies and tools. Others need space to better understand emotions, relationships, and patterns that may be keeping them stuck.
Our work draws from: Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), attachment-based approaches, family systems therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy (SBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) and strengths-based practice, adapting to what will be most helpful for you or your family.

Sessions is a therapy practice grounded in the belief that people heal and grow through connection, understanding, and the right kind of support. We offer a calm, thoughtful space to make sense of what you’re experiencing and move toward meaningful change.
Sessions Therapy is led by Deborah, Founder & Principal and Registered Social Worker (RSW), with over two decades of experience supporting people as they navigate emotions, relationships, stress, and the moments in life that feel overwhelming or stuck.
Our work is collaborative and shaped by approaches that support people in navigating their emotions and relationships with more clarity and ease. We draw from Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and attachment-based and family systems perspectives, tailoring each session to what you need and the pace that feels right for you.
We’re based in Ottawa and offer in-person therapy locally, as well as virtual sessions across Ontario.
Therapy is about creating space to be heard, understood, and supported - so meaningful change can take root.

Extended Health Insurance Coverage
INSURANCE & COVERAGE
Services provided by a Registered Social Worker (RSW) are covered by many extended health benefit plans.
Receipts are provided after each session and can be submitted to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, so it may be helpful to confirm with your provider in advance.
