Therapy
Support for children and teens to manage big feelings, build confidence and grow in relationships.
When therapy may help
When you’re concerned about your child or teen’s wellbeing.
Therapy offers a supportive space to make sense of emotions, relationships, and stress, and to help your child or teen feel more confident and connected.
When school, friendships, or routines feel challenging
Struggles with peers, academic pressure, perfectionism, or shifting family dynamics can make it hard for young people to feel settled and confident. They may pull away, act out, or feel unsure of how to cope with what they’re experiencing.
When emotions feel big or hard to understand
Children and teens can experience worry, sadness, frustration, or overwhelm in ways that feel confusing — both for them and for the adults who care about them. These feelings can show up as irritability, withdrawal, changes in sleep or motivation, or difficulty managing day‑to‑day stress.
When they need support finding their voice and confidence
Many children and teens benefit from a space where they can express themselves, understand their emotions, and build skills that help them feel more grounded, capable, and connected — both at home and in their relationships.
Therapy at Sessions offers a supportive, developmentally attuned space for children and teens to explore their feelings, learn coping strategies, and strengthen their sense of self. Together, we work to support growth in a way that feels steady, respectful, and aligned with their needs — and when helpful, we collaborate with parents or caregivers to reinforce that support.
Services provided by a Registered Social Worker (RSW) are covered by many extended health benefit plans. Coverage varies, so you may wish to check with your provider.
